Darwin: The Life of a Tormented Evolutionist, by Adrian Desmond & James Moore. You made a monkey out of me, Charles. At 680 pages, this was actually the lighter option in Darwin biographies, versus two volumes of more than a thousand pages. Pleasantly, though, this was not at all a fact dump - more in the old-timey English biography tradition. Very good. Does anyone have any clue as to what Darwin's gastrointestinal problem was? Poor guy.

First!
FFFFFIIIIIIIRRRRRSSSTTTTTT!!!
You liberal elites think you are so smart with your "books" about Darwin. Well, let me tell you, mister. Do you think that book just "evolved" out of the goo into a monkey and then into a book? No! That book was CREATED. It had an AUTHOR. It was the result of an INTELLIGENT DESIGN. So there. Not so smart looking now, are you!!!!!!!
First is the worst.
Second is the best.
Third is the one with the hairy chest.
Clearly there is NO such thing as intelligent design, how else do you account for GEORGE W. BUSHITLER? ha ha rethuglicans.
I urge the owners of this blog to drop the banhammer on the troll behind comment #4. I used to come here expecting intelligent conversation, but this is ridiculous.
As the proprietor, I would like to apologize for the contretemps upthread. The many loyal readers of this blog deserve better.
Is that what "contretemps" means? Huh.
