One of the puzzling things about New York City is that, after the enormous and well-publicized reductions in crime in the mid-nineteen-nineties, the crime rate has continued to fall. In the past two years, for instance, murder in New York has declined by almost ten per cent, rape by twelve per cent, and burglary by more than eighteen per cent. Just in the last year, auto theft went down 11.8 per cent. On a list of two hundred and forty cities in the United States with a population of a hundred thousand or more, New York City now ranks two hundred-and-twenty-second in crime, down near the bottom with Fontana, California, and Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Pt St Lucie has a low crime statistic because the major portion of the crimes commited there are reported as happening in St Lucie County. The Branciccio( SP) kid that murdered the old lady for objecting to his loud music is an example of their crime reporting.
While coaching a Pop Warner football team playing against a Pt. St. Lucie team we had to have the sheriff dept. escort some of the parrents off the sidelines. Because Their team was losing for the first time in two years the boys mothers were running up and down the sidelines calling their own children A$$ holes and crybaby **nts, threatening physical punishment if they lost. they were also imploring the boys to hurt the oposing team. Pt. St. Lucie is the orriginal development of the Mackle Bros. A ripoff orginization from the beginning right up to the present day. This includes Deltona and port Charolette. One of their favorite tricks is to show you one lot and sell you a completely different lot. Their main customer base is from the N.E. part of the us and only see the property for a short time before being high pressured into making a purchase.
Wow...i was going to leave a slightly sarcastic/humorous comment, but the comment before mine was so serious that I just lost my train of thought, and am now thinking of Pop Warner football...
